The beauty of maps

I’ve been playing around with Google Maps a lot lately, checking locations, distances and possible routes. Ever so often I switch to satelite view, and it’s just amazing! It’s fascinating to see large cities and small towns, mountains and lakes in “Gods view”.

And every now and then I come across pure art! Like these:
